The longitudinal cuss is what almost richly separates the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Eac h hemisphere has a central fissure and lateral fissure that take off them into quartet lobes. The frontal lobe is the largest and is associated with motor functions. It controls personality, character, social and moral judgement, emotion, and temperament.

The parietal lobe is the somatosensory lens mantle, having much to do with touch, pain, and temperature perception. The temporal lobe is the auditory cortex that regulates hearing, equilibrium, as well as emotion and motivations. Lastly, the occipital lobe acts as the visual cortex, involving itself with sight perception. The diencephalon, also part of the forebrain, is made up of the thalamus and hypothalamus. The thalamus consists of two lobes that are located at the top of! the brain stem. It acts as a transmitter for sensory receptors that process and pass race signals to the appropriate areas. The hypothalamus is located underneath the thalamus and is significant in the code for motivated behaviors.
